Sanda Combatives Training

Sanda Combatives is the "military", or real self defense aspect of Sanda, and has been battle tested over millennia.




Sanda Combatives require more dexterity than other martial arts. It is a combination of external and internal Kung Fu. One cannot only train the body, they must also train the mind.  They must not only know how the mind works, but also how the body works. One must learn proper body mechanics, and have the mental fortitude and discernment to react properly in a stressful situation.

About Sanda

Sanda, 散打 is the martial art developed by the Chinese military based upon traditional Kung Fu styles.  

There are two major versions of Sanda; Military Sanda, (Sanda Combatives), and Sport Sanda.


  • Sport Sanda utilizes punches, kicks, elbows, knees, and spectacular takedowns. 
  • Sanda Combatives is the military form of Sanda that encompasses all the self defense techniques that are illegal in sport Sanda.
